Tuesday, September 18 – NY Fall Beer Frolic featuring Ithaca and Kelso Breweries @ Sunswick 35/35, Queens:

Are you as excited about fall beer as we are? Pumpkins, harvests and probably even a few winters sneaking in there – all spicy, malty and tasting like an American Thanksgiving. Perfect for the autumn winds that cut right through you here in NYC and the rest of the northeast. Sunswick 35/35 in Queens will be throwing a bash honoring this special beer time of year by featuring Kelso brewery of Brooklyn and Ithaca brewery of upstate New York. They’ll be taking over the tap lines and the list is looking pretty good:

Tuesday, September 18 – Tuesday Night Tastings: Oktoberfest Beer @ Bierkraft, Brooklyn:

The fall beer keeps on flowing just as the fall leaves will start raining from the trees – it must be the season. Hit up Bierkraft in Brooklyn for an Oktoberfest tasting. Oktoberfest brews are traditionally known as Marzen lagers, malty and crisp, same as the autumn air. Bierkraft’s Chris Balla will teach you the ins and outs of the style, both the American versions and the tried and true European (read: German) brews. Tuesday Night Tastings are free but they get crowded so get there early.

Bierkraft is located at 191 5th Avenue between Berkeley and Union Streets in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Wednesday, September 19 – Sierra Nevada Event @ The Blind Tiger Ale House, Manhattan:

Sierra Nevada is an old American Craft Brewery. One of the first to reignite America’s passion for hand crafted beer. It then makes perfect sense that they have such a diverse collection of offerings for you to enjoy and they’ll be out in full force this Wednesday at the Blind Tiger. They’ll even be serving up a selection from their homebrew camp and some aged old favorites. One of Manhattan’s first craft beer bars combining forces with one of America’s first craft beer revolutionaries, can’t go wrong with that one.
